After thousands of installations, we have found that problems are usually caused by uneven walls, switches installed a little crookedly, or screws that were tightened a little too much during installation. We have always been able to make suggestions to get everything to work.
Additional Tips
- Avoid letting your toddler watch you open your Switch Guard — they’ll learn quickly!
- Avoid challenging your toddler to see if they can open it. They’ll think you are testing them like a game, and they want to impress you. So, they’ll try even harder to figure it out.
- The goal of the Switch Guard is to make it annoying for your toddler to open it. If it’s too much of a hassle, they’ll find it less interesting and go play with something else.
